Is this your first chapter of Codys story? Or are there other chapters? The night owl kept this story alive. I'll read the first chapters, so I know what the story is about in the very beginning.

Well done. It's hard to come up with a different way to tell a first person tale. Good job. I enjoyed reading it. Nice picture. Good luck in the contest.

Glad you enjoyed this Cody Schroder story. Much appreciate the review.

This is a very nice story that encapsulates not only the salvation of a sheriff, but the nuances of a young lad learning about life. The little touch of the thrown away newspaper showed the down home relateability of the connection with the reader. Thanks for sharing . Embrace the Love from Above.

Born on FanStory. Figured that would be an eye opener. Appreciate the review.

This is a great story, Brett. I like your tales about Cody. Since you left us hanging in this one, I expect there will be another? The dialogue is natural and tells us something about the characters. Well done.

Brett,
I really like this one. It is my introduction to Cody. I appreciated the backstory in the notes. I like that the sheriff is letting Cody know that there are events in life that defy earthly, rational explanation. Sounds like a good way to advocate for God without preaching. Dialogue is realistic and appropriate. Great story.

Now this reminded me of the kind of stories that kept me engrossed and excited to find out what would happen next when I was a kid. Unlike so many books and movies of today that seem to go on and on before setting a hook to keep my interest. This one is proof it only takes a few words to do the job. Thanks for sharing. Hope all is going well!

Truly, the boy's picture has been an easy identity of the character, Cody; Sheriff Daniels is saved by an owl; well said, well done; post more. ALCREATOR LITT DEAR (D R)

Would prefer you did not waste my time with your cut and paste reviews that offer very little of nothing simply because you seem to be trying to set some record for the most reviews on this site. Would prefer not to have to mute you, but that remains an option.

Your story is very interesting and easy to read. Owls are considered to be wise birds, so this story is very probable, the owl directing the man who was lost in the blizzard back to his tent. I would call it a miracle.
