Is this about a melting snowman ending up as a puddle of water! Ha ha ha, you made me smile and we always want our snowmen to last forever but alas they have to say goodbye! Much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Wisdom revealed in a snowman's lament. To avoid a meltdown forever is certainly our goal. I just finished watching CS Lewis's Shadowlands and your poem brings into focus the message of the movie. Well done.

Blessings

"carnotnose"? Is the snowman's tongue melting too??
Towards the end, some of us realize we wasted our lives and have to make amends in order to enter into heaven. AT least, that is my interpretation preacher man. :-)

Carnotnose is poetic license in an illicit relationship with punsters.
That's not his tongue it's his nose...been too long in FL? :)

The whole point of Christ dying on the cross for our sins is so we may have confidence we are accepted by God. The Bible tells us repeatedly we have zero to offer God to make up for our mess. He in love paid it all and invites us home even though like the prodigal we have been too long near the pigsty. Thanks for reviewing. Appreciated...

You have created a faith based poem that teaches the reader. Life is short but we can follow God and have eternal life. Excellent use of words that speak to the reader.

Kind of clever here with comparing the snowman to regular man. Having the snowman sit in the shadow of God was a really good touch. "carnotnose" in the fifth line puzzles me.

"carnotnose" is poetic license gone amok with a punster. It's cannot know with a reference to the carrot nose squeezed in...these things don't always work, but creative juices can be sloppy. :) Thanks for reviewing!

I love your poem, describing the snowman and how quickly he melts and is gone. So our life is short and the only way to live it is to give ourselves to the Lord Jesus Christ, and then we will have life eternal.

Thank you, but to be a little more specific, sinners have no life to give Christ and thereby gain eternal life. Rather, God gives eternal life to all who believe In Jesus. John 5:24 He paid it all, all to Him I owe! God bless you and thanks for reviewing!

You are welcome. Yes, Christ gives us life eternal, but we make a choice whether to accept what he offers or not.

Hello Dennis,
At first I thought that this poem was about a snowman melting. I was going to suggest that you send it up here. The snow that fell back in October is still on the ground here. Not much melting going on, unfortunately. The second part of the poem was a bit of surprise, but how very true. How much like snow we are, here for but a little while and then gone. Eternity is a long, long time. It's probably a great idea to give some consideration as to where we'll spend it. Well done my friend.
Blessings
Tom

Thanks Tom. Appreciated. God has made eternal life with Him possible by accepting the sacrifice for sin Jesus made for all of us. Our part is to receive by faith and keep on growing in His grace.
John 3;16 is the entry point. Blessings my friend, Dennis

This poem sounds like the way a snowman would talk. It tells the story of slowly aging. It also shows faith will keep us for worry and frights. I like the biblical quote. It matches will with the poem.
Keep writing and stay healthy

You had me at Snowman... I'm wondering how he made our or if

Too much sun puts outta sync,
take some shade, and think!

Life is short and in a muddle,
don't wind up as just a puddle!

This was a fun read and the message was great... yours, di
