Enjoyed your thoughtful comments about the Wolf Moon, the drama between hunter and prey, as well as, your considerations as to why they named it the Wolf Moon. Congrats on your 3rd place finish!

Thank you again for reading another inactive one. I don't get as many reviews when I put something in a blind contest, but at the first of the year I was trying to four posts in poems and stories in order to be on the rating. I wish someone had pointed out my errors earlier.

Excellent entry for the Rondeau Poetry writing prompt contest. I like the wolf theme. The imagery is fantastic. Good rondeau form.

Good luck in the contest.

' Wolf Moon Winter', is an extremely well-written and deftly descriptive piece. Penned with craft and skill. This talented poet's work was a privilege to both read and review. Good luck with the contest. Please let me know how you get on?

Creatures of the night - whether feathered or furry - always add a touch of mystery. This is especially true on a full moon evening. Not sure if wolves howl more often in January, but they would sound more eerie and louder during the colder months, echoing across snowcovered terrain. I ejoyed this rondeau.

This is a perfectly written Rondeau.
The first I seen. You did a fantastic job!
And your image hints to the poem. Not the poem complimenting the image. The poem vividly describes night in the forest.
I think this is a winner.

Thanks for sharing

I like your poem very much. Beautiful picture of the wolf howling at the moon and great words to describe it. God's plan for all His creatures is perfect, each one has its particular beauty.

I love this... wolves are doing what wolves do...they are beautiful creatures and brutal as it feels when you here their cries as a pack... scary, yet I love these creatures.

A poem that evokes a wintry atmosphere as the wolves roam 'howls of winter wolves still amplify' and 'The owl is hungry more than he is wise'- such is the night chill

A fine Rondeau with good meter and end rhymes, much enjoyed.

Just one suggestion for this line as it is out of meter:

"Only the wolf would know if this applies."

suggestion:

"the lonely wolf knows how it all applies"

Love Dolly x
