It has a comic overtone, your poem flows and is a great entry for the contest. The picture is perfect for your words. Nature can be a free t.v. show. Great presentation. Good luck with the contest.

That pic is what you call : an overload of cuteness. ( biggrin)
Squirrels are great company and interesting to watch sitting in parks.
They are smart ( you have to be to survive winter) and curious.
Photographer was in the right place at the right time.
The water is a mirror and the squirrel is expertly balanced on that low branch.
This scene reminds me of disciple Tommaso who had to touch resurrected Jesus with his hand to believe.

Squirrels are very fun to watch. This squirrel is looking into a mirror of icy glaring pond. The reflections are looking back at him as he touches the surface.
