snowdrops take a peek
to see if winter has left-
life springs once again
It won't be long now
It's the home stretch
So far it's been easy
Nice write!

Thank you very much .sorry for the delayed reply.

You have made excellent, expressive use of your seventeen syllables in this lovely, charming haiku. Yes, there are times during the year when a new season starts to emerge when the outgoing one is still pretty much in change.

I for one can't wait for spring. The snow drops need to make way for rain drops. Sadly, we are a couple of months off from that. Thank you so much for sharing. :)

Snow drops take a peek

Excellent entry for the New Beginning Haiku Club Event. I love the imagery and presentation. Good syllables count and connection between lines.
I suggest to add a dash at the end of the second line.

Nice title and well written Haiku. Your words are very vivid, the picture you selected tells the story of the "snowdrops taking a peak." Thanks for sharing.

You are welcome.

This is a good haiku poem.
All syllables are in check and the content includes two seasons.
I did ponder the photo as I had snow in my head but presume the flowers relate to the end line of spring. Nicely done.

OMG...You did well aligning the poem.
I didn't think it was a haiku at first.
I had to count the syllables.
I think the poem works well with the image.
Thanks for sharing

I really like this poem. A friend has been helping me move out of my home and into where I'm living now. I had a lot of flower pots with dirt still in them but no plants to be seen. He dumped out all the dirt and as I walked past I noticed sprouting Narcissus bulbs. I scrambled to pick them up and I've repotted them and they're doing nicely after their traumatic eviction. I think I'll have spring flowers sometime in February. Lovely poem.

I love it! Snowdrops are one of the very first flowers to bloom. They are a January flower but I haven't seen any peek out of the snow yet. Your final line gives us the hope for life "springing" back as these lovely flowers herald the hope of spring!

Thank you very much,Helen . I think winter is severe this year. I know about snowdrops only from novels. I had lived in Delhi for about 4 years .There is severe winter there but no snow ..
