A 3 6 9 x 3 wonderful, nice alliteration, and the whole things has a lovely flow. I echo those sentiments, our grand son brings us so much joy. Congratulations on your new granddaughter, what a lovely New Year's present.
Cute pic too!

Hi Melissa,
Congratulations! You'll have so much fun with your new grandchild. We didn't think we'd have more than one. Alyssa was born in 2013, now in Grade 3 at Island View School, and taking piano lessons! She loves to dance, too. All this is ahead of you. Our second granddaughter came on April 9th, 2020... Isla Bennie, whose parents are my youngest son, Luke, and daughter-in-law, Leslie. And then, same Covid year, on July 31st, our oldest son, Matthew, and his wife, Jaclyn, gave us our 3rd granddaughter, Mara Lucy. Here's a poem I posted after her birth... called "Little fingers"
"Little fingers
Little toes
Cuddles, kisses
Baby nose
Goo's and ga's
And poopy diapers
Crying sounds like
Ten bagpipers
Welcome to
Your brand-new home
Here's your toothbrush
Here's your comb"
**********************************
You're the same as me... can't get enough of those little toes!
Hugs,
Kimbob

Beautiful. Words and picture. It reminded me of being blessed to sing my daughters favorite lullaby to her as she passed away. It always meant so much to her. Love and Blessings. Barbara

Ciao Sugarray,

I never wanted a family nor kids but I have to say off late I feel that maybe I missed out on something unique.

Your poem surely will touch many that have been parents.

It moved this incurable tomboy.

My last sixer goes to this beautiful poem.

Ah, nice poem to dedicate to all grandparents. I hope to join that group one day. The picture is too cute, the last stanza sums it all up, especially the last land "within our heart a tenderness grows."

I like this 3-6-9 poem. Congratulations on becoming a grandmother! The nice part about cuddling babies is that it not only calms them, but it warms our hearts as well. Best wishes in the contest.

So very true. And congratulations, on your first grandchild, Melissa. I have three granddaughters from 3 to ten. I haven't seen them for two years because of Covid. We live almost 2500 miles apart, and I do miss them.
It's such a heartwarming poem you've written. Ulla:)))
