I'm not sure about the "hessian bags", but I'm going with a six star rating. This is a great one, Roy. The message here is timeless. It was a great idea. I wish I had thought of it.

A beautiful and thought-provoking poem! If all of this stuff happened, could we still follow Jesus without question? I've been tested before and find that I can be mad and angry at Him for what has happened in my life, but then I remember that it's all in His plan, To get to the other end of the path I first must follow from where it began. It's then I realize that everything happens for a reason and I still put my faith and trust in the Lord because He is walking with me every step all the way. thanks for sharing this poem! Blessings!

Very smartly written poem to keep the faith, and hope even when life has dealt some incredibly difficult blows.

As you so aptly question, would any among us still be able to keep the faith even when faced with such seemingly unfair disaster.

Always a pleasure to read and review your work, Roy. :))

What a beautiful poem, Roy. It made me cry. I don't know what I would do if all my children died but she found solace in God. I read your author notes, they were helpful.

I enjoyed this poem, finding that it revealed continued belief in God in the face of adversity. Such strong faith is admirable. It is a wonderful phenomenon.

That song always seems to bring a deep breath to my lungs and a reminiscent tear to my eye. Both the music and the words. As does this wonderful poem you have written. It is inspired, I'm sure. Your words are just that, inspired. And, I'm sure they do not return void in their quest to draw lost souls to safe shores. Loren

No, I don't know how they did that. I don't think I would be able to move on if I lost my children. Your poem is deep and asks many questions, we all say we would stay strong, but put in that position, would we? I think we be angry for a while, but most would return. To turn your back on God leaves you emptier inside. Excellent poem, my friend. Well done. Love and hugs. Sandra xxx

THANK YOU, Roy for sharing this lovely poem and the notes that touch my heart in a deep way. Only faith in the Lord can sustain us when we have such deep grief. A very powerful verse.

I love that story about Horatio Spafford. I think that I would respond in praise since I have responded that way in past losses. I've had as lot of losses in my life. Yet, it is well. Sending you my best today for this beautiful poem,

This is a really good poem from a really good poet. The back story is interesting it gives a good reference to the poem and the message. I have one question and that is about the question mark at the end. It seems to be a statement, not a question. Even the words of Mr. Spofford suggest that. Food for thought, very good job.
