The author's words are engaging, confronting, clear and creative. I thought about each stanza and pondered on the words and what I would do. The last stanza was heartfelt for me. The poem flows and connects well. I thought about faith throughout the poem and the author's notes....

What a wonderfully crafted inspirational poem! A telling message that reiterates that even in the face of extreme disaster one should not lose hope. Always believe that there is Him looking after you and will hold your hand and guide you to proper living. Thanks for sharing!

This is a good poetic retelling of Horatio Spofford's life. It shows strong faith to go through all those losses and still have faith and say your soul is well and still no doubt.

Hi Roy, it often amazes me how some people are by so much to sorrow and tragedy, and they still lift their heads above it all. It's a beautiful poem you've written. It was a joy to read. I can't imagine losing all your children. It would too much to bear. Ulla:)))
