The boys had names that begin with 'J' as a family thing. The Riley's were weird. LOL Thank you for the kind review and welcome.

Another strong chapter. I loved the court scene. I think your handling of dialogue is as good as anyone on the site, and the degree of polish is really high. Emotions between characters come out really strong in your dialogue in this court scene, we see how much the boys have bonded with Gabriel, and how they are all becoming a family. Katherine seems to have gone over the edge and given permission to give Gabe custody should anything happen to her. And you have sown the seeds of more suspense; we have to find out if Katherine has breast cancer. A whole struggle of life could emerge here. This is as good as it gets on this site and close to commercial quality. estory

Some people might think these horribe inlaws are unrealistic but in fact my former mother-in-law was just a mean and conniving. All of us are in one life challenge after another and your story is true to life.

I had a friend who's mother-in-law actually attempted to get custody after a divorce because the mother worked. Thank you for understanding.

I am glad that the custody battle is over. The rileys tried their best to tarnish Gabriel's image too. But katherine has more problems looming..I hope everything will turn out well.

This is the first chapter of this story that I've seen, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I will have to look for the previous ones to catch up on the story, and keep an eye out for the rest.

Poor Katherine, she certainly has a lot going on. At least the custody issue is settled. If the in-laws had paid any attention to the children over the years, they might have had a better shot at getting custody. They didn't really have a case. It was sweet that Katherine wants Gabriel to have custody of the boys if anything happens to her. That will please him. Gabriel probably won't be pleased that Katherine hasn't told him about the biopsy, but I understand her reasoning. Excellent development. judi
