At a time when we all make new resolutions and hope to be a far better person, we still find it easy to slip slowly into the masked folds of darkness if we do not remain vigil and under the graces of God.

This is a powerful message. Whenever I face adversity, in order to mitigate the resentment that surfaces, I remind myself that it's not the person's fault. The "powers of dark" seek to steal, kill, and destroy, but the best defence is to love, as Jesus taught. Or as you aptly put it, "...be malice free."

Your third stanza really spoke to me. Yes, we were put here on Earth to be an envoy for God. Boy, we really mess that up often. But thankfully God's grace covers it. Thank you for the gentle reminder we must watch what we say and act.

This is a well done quatern which reminds us we need to keep a civil tongue. It seems to be getting harder and harder with the leaders we've had and all the talking heads on the pandemic. But we need to pray for strength to not stray from the path Jesus set.

In the notes the htlm needs to disappear, so distracting.
