a photographic pictorial, painted with daubs of philosophy, strikingly vivid.
If only we would commit our souls to being swept clean. There is a way
as your writing ends in telling, by and through the process of absolution.

Thanks so much for the excellent review and your thoughtful analysis of my piece. You are spot on here. It is about absolution, of letting the Spirit work its absolution. estory

'Transfiguration'...what a truly beautiful and unique
way of seeing the world covered in pristine snow.
I always feel this way too. As if the world is allowed
a 'do-over.'
Beautiful piece,
Blessings...

Yes, I can relate to this story. I remember looking out my second-story bedroom window when I was a child. The world would be a pristine white as far as the eye could see. We lived on a farm with rolling hills and it was breathtakingly lovely.

Although I haven't read the previous chapters of your book, I enjoyed this conclusion. Your words are well chosen and create great imagery. I agree with you about how everything look and that special feeling that one has when seeing the landscape snow covered.
Respectfully, Jan

This is a beautiful conclusion to your Memoir. You've described well the cheerfulness that a first snow storm leaves behind. The brightness, seems to cleanse the earth and our hearts. Well done.

Thanks so much for the excellent review and your kind words supporting the piece. I wanted to end on that high note. A note of transfiguration on the threshold of heaven. estory

I love how you tell us of the beauty of fresh snow. Yes you are right I also
when I see the snow covering the weeds, the dying grass the sight of no growth.

Indeed, when the world seems to be covered in white, everything appears clearer and in stark contrast. I remember such winter days when I still lived in Denmark. However, it's all very well to observe it from the warmth of the home. To be out in is another story. I will confess, I'm not a winter person. I liked your final chapter, and you certainly caught the spirit of the day. Ulla:)))

Thanks so much for the excellent review and for all your support of this series. I don't miss the snow either, much, except maybe for those first days after them. Those were magical, crystalline moments for me. Moments when it seemed like you were on the threshold of heaven, in a transfiguration. estory

This is lovely. Living in the deep South make moments like this rare but I've had a few of the and I do agree it an almost surreal moment when the snow cover all the imperfection and the sky is a brilliant blue. You descripting takes us to a place of rebirth.

Thanks so much for the excellent review and I am glad you seemed to get exactly what I was trying to get across in this last piece of Memories. In many ways I thought of it as a moment when you are on the threshold of heaven, about to be transformed. estory

I think you certainly finished on a note of transfiguration, where Christ revealed to His leading disciples He was not only Christ Himself, the incarnate glory of God, but was the great I Am Himself. And God will continue to encourage us and strengthen us "the day", beautifully written and declared. Merry Christmas, blessings Roy

For these first few moments after the storm it is as if the whole world has gone through its death and resurrection, its transfiguration. The dead leaves and the dirt are gone, the imperfections of the scene are blanketed with the perfection of absolution. (This paragraph says it all. This is the way I look at snow. It's gorgeous and it does transfigure the scene in to beauty as set by God. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks so much for those wonderful words validating the writing in this piece. I am so glad I was able to convey that sense of a transcendent moment. I have always thought of those days after snow storms in NY and how they would make a great symbol of that moment. estory
