Oh yes. People will take advantage of you, especially those who have looks to seduce you. Scott has to learn how to say no! I don't understand how Mrs. Barr can offer up his place??? He needs to disconnect that connection cord.

Meantime--the woman's car was stolen, so she can't camp out--fortunately, Scott's house is not in walking distance of her job, so she's staying in a nearby cheap motel--otherwise, she'd have wormed her way inside!

Scott is just too kind for his own good! I thought that woman would have been long gone by now, but she knows a good deal when she's offered one. Mrs. Barr, on the other hand, is devious! lol

Hi Liz,
ah, the Scott and Janice saga continues. I guess in times like this you either suck it up, speak the hell up, or turn off your electricity.
Now I'm all about charity to those in need, but those on the bite?
Nah, you teach people how to treat you.

Now in saying that... keep me and all of us here at StoryLand updated... okay?

With our thoughts we create...
a power surge.

Kind regards,
James.

Amazing, Elizabeth. Poor Scott, to be bambuzzeled this way. I would definitely think Mrs. Barr would take Janice in, especially since she has so much space. And the heating cost was outrageous. Baahumbug to Mrs. Barr and Janice. Merry Christmas, Happy New Years, Season Greetings!

Oh my, as much as I truly feel for her, I honestly can't say I feel sorry, she and Mrs. Barr took advantage of his kind nature. You are so welcome, Elizabeth.

I thought he'd gotten rid of her once and for all! Can she not pay her share of the electricity bill? I don't know her so I can't say if she's just a moocher or someone really down on her luck, but I don't think I could put up with her for that long. I guess he's a man with a generous heart.

Scott is much too kind! (I double checked to be sure this was non-fiction.)

Perhaps the Grinch in me is alive and well but I would have unplugged Janice immediately!

Guess when a bell rings I"ll never get my wings.

Electricity is so expensive!

Yikes!

He has a heart of gold...which he may have to convert to pay his next electric bill!

The moral of this story is, no good deed goes unpunished. The only people that I've never enjoyed helping were the ones who expected me to no matter what. There are people that don't have a second thought about imposing or demanding their Way. She should run for Congress. It would be good if he gave her a bill for the difference.

Well, Janice sounds like a freeloader with an attitude. I hope Scott invites her to a KOA or??? He is at times too generous. You did a great job with this, Liz. I don't suppose, Janice paid more than $25. I hope Scoot pulls the plug.
Respectfully, Jan

I'm doubtful she'll pay anything. I'm with you on pulling the plug!

A flash non fiction! Lol. This is Interesting. I have to know what items she left on the table though.

And what was wrong with Mrs. Barr's house? :)

Great job and it kept me interested throughout :)

AGHHHH THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A SIX!!

I genuinely enjoyed this and wanted to boost it if needed.

Thanks--Mrs. Barr prefers to do charity by proxy. Suffice it to say the items on the table would make one gag.

Has Scott ever heard of carbon monoxide poisoning? If not, it's probably about time to figure out how to spray a little Janice's way. Either that, or he needs to see her checking and saving accounts and her last two deposits. Then, he'll know if he should marry or murder her. Thanks for sharing.
