Your story was well written and interesting to read. You are a terrific writer. The descriptions are vivid and pull the reader in. This is a good entry for the contest. I only wish the font was a little bigger the advanced editor has options the regular font is only a ten and too small to read easily. All the best, Laura.

Lady Laura, you are too kind, and I truly appreciate your time to note your comments on this bit of whimsy. I'll check the font size, thank you for calling that to my attention.

An upsetting story and an interesting take on the contest. It is well written and I saw spag at all. The notes at the end were almost superfluous after reading the story --- but I'm glad they are there. Good luck in the contest. ann

Thank you. There are too many such remote highways. The danger is always there in those conditions.

I remember only too well the first snows that hit the Sierra Nevada's and motorists driving between Sacramento and Reno. Your story is realistic describing those who spin out of control as well as some civilians who attempt to walk through blizzards and get lost. I especially like your use of dialog between Freeman and Denman. Rod

The objective correlative of this work reminisces a disaster occasioned by snowfall.

The work highlights several missing persons; with few of them trapped in their cars and several of them thawed away by the gliding snowflakes. And worst of all, the worst is yet to come.

The work earns its texture through its effective use of corroborating anecdotes.

Excellent work. Bravo.
