Wow you really came up with a good cliffhanger for the story. You have me wondering what the thing wandering after Sam was and what happened to Sam. Very nice job. Good luck in the contest.

Poor kid, left me on edge wondering what it was that came after him. It was a good story line leading to a very strong ending that leaves you guessing. His final resolve to sit and wait for whatever terror awaited him brings strong emotions about life and death. Very well written.
