As a non Christian, I'm struggling to imagine the image of rising to heaven with God and everything on earth becomes insignificant and worse, it starts crumbling under the mighty power of God.
Well done and it's beautifully written.

Thanks for the excellent review and your honest comments. I like to think of it as being in a womb. When you are in that womb, you can't imagine the wonder and beauty and joy of that world outside you haven't seen yet. estory

Celebrating the New Jerusalem
Apocalypse pt. 18

Excellent epic poem about the end of time as we join God. Our world will end one day but God and our souls are eternal.
Well done!

I liked the shear grandeur of the poem the passage of time and the end of past empires all fading away as humanity achieves oneness with God. Very powerful images and engaging story although I am not a Christian I can appreciate the poem.

Your writing lifts the reader above this world by detailing in beautiful imagery, what things we will be without, such as darkness, sickness, etc and the perfect and pure peace of God that will reign in silence.
"Something of the endlessness of the sea or the sky, passing our understanding" is one example that hits home. Your poem deals with opposite worlds in a way, with good news that is all about light, positivity and divine joy. Very well done! I agree this must be one of your best. I love the heavenly, pure reach of the many, almost dreamy, but absolutely true descriptions of our future. Maybe past our understanding but you did great in making my mind reach and be happy for what I cannot see.

Thanks so much for this excellent review and it's always great to hear what works specifically in a poem. I thought the alliterations in that line worked pretty well. And I am glad I got across this sense of transcendence, of lifting into the heavenly world while all the darkness and pain fades away. estory

transcendence is ours
as darkness and pain fade
lifting us to peace
(inspired by your words)
This is one of those poems I will pull off the shelf and admire.

As you say, and as scripture also declares is that "Heaven and Earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. Luke 11:23. So we know that there will be a New Heaven and New Earth. So you've written this beautifully written my friend, these things are happening in our church already. This Covid thing is shaking the church, the old security is gone, but a great new thing is emerging, well done, blessings Roy

Thanks so much for the excellent review and coming from a fellow Christian like you who does so much religious writing, I am flattered. I am so glad I was able to convey this sense of Christ creating a world for us. estory

Oh yes, you are seeing it emerging now, the separation of good and bad is more obvious now.

This is a true masterpiece. Like you said the best you've probably written. For, how can anyone write a better poem than this?
Best wishes and regards.

Very well done. My last story had a similar theme and I think in this day and age it is apropos. We look around and wish for a better world. It is indeed a well-wrought and stunning poem. This makes one want to say Halleluiah, Lord and thank you.

The objective correlative of the work reminisce glimpses of the foretold Apocalypse foreseen by the protagonist.
The work highlights the passing away of light and darkness supplanted by a peaceful silence upon which humanity stands to sing new songs of the lamb; humanity's reclamation from pain and suffering; and their eventual union with the spirit in the abode of the Almighty God.
The work earns its texture through its effective use of celestial anecdotes that reminisce the Apocalypse.
Excellent work. Bravo.

I started to point out my favorite stanza in this poem, but had to stop trying because every stanza was my favorite, so I would say this is an extremely wonderful poem. Yes, you nailed it.
