A fine poem for the tree hugger prompt, emphasizing the importance of trees for oxygen. We are lucky indeed. Well-done. Hope you breathe well during this holiday season.

We need to plant more trees, our air is in question? Without trees we wouldn't survive. Your poem reflects this concept and hits home. Your picture shows the magnificence of trees. Together they make a great presentation.

Thanks for the review. Trees are critical.

Trees are souls of nature. A tree is our most intimate contact with nature. Trees are sanctuaries. You can hug them and speak to them. This is a well made short poem. Good luck in the contest!

Thanks, Seshadri. hat's a great first sentence in your review. Probably a poem there.
Comment from Sherry Asbury
Good reminder of what trees do besides offer shade and beauty and wonder to our world...we would be gasping in a sere desert without trees. This entry is perfect for the contest and I wish you luck.

Thanks, Sherry. You are right - shade, beauty, wonder, and oxygen.

Excellent poem. This message should be shouted from the rooftops with the cutting and burning of the Rain Forests and the raging forest fires we've had out west. Many people don't realize the importance of trees and forests.

Thanks, Mary. We have been quite lucky here in Maine.

You're right. I've often thought that myself.

Lovely image, and a clever entry. I am sure trees know in some way that they are important contributors to a healthy environment! Best wishes for your entry in the contest.

Well that's very good, and just as well the tree absorb the carbon dioxide, but they likewise provide life giving oxygen, we need to remember that when chopping them down, beautifully written 5/7/5, good luck, blessings Roy

This is clever and is a science lesson, to boot. You have the right number of syllables and, as a bonus, rhyming. Well done and good luck in the contest!

' Breathe Easy ', is short, succinct and delightfully descriptive. Woven through each short line are the golden threads of truth. Good luck with the contest. My fingers are firmly welded together!
