The importance of trees28 total reviews

Simple, but also cute and clever and effective. It could be an excellent entry in a short book of educational children's poetry, if you were ever so inclined. I'm sure it could fit elsewhere as well. Nice work

Thanks for the review. You are right. Children should be aware of the importance of trees.

Ahh, one with a difference. A nice little ending to it.
I read another concerning trees, and this takes a different angle, but so awe inspiring with trees.
Good luck in the competition.
My best wishes.

You have written a splendid, meaningful 5-7-5 poem about trees, and even made it rhyme. At the same time, you remind us of some very important information, so thanks a bunch for sharing this, and I wish you much luck in this unusual contest. MM

A nice little witty poem with rhymes to boot. The feeling is breezy and conversational. The rhymes are not forced. The comment contained is a reminder that nature is necessary.
Thanks for a good read.

Trees do produce oxygen so we can breathe; "a mature leafy tree produces as much oxygen in a season as ten people inhale in a year.". Per Arbor Day Foundation. "A single mature tree can absorb carbon dioxide at a rate of 48 lbs.

Comment from The Cowboy Poet
This is very clever and witty. It states a much needed message in a humorous way. The rhyme pattern makes it flow smoothly and makes it easy to read and enjoy. Well done. Cowboy

Well done on this short poem. I am glad that God created all of nature to work together. The trees give off the oxygen that we need in order to sustain life. Everything in His creation is in harmony.

And they do. We breathe oxygen because of them, yet industry wishes to destroy them--what a bummer. I hope you the best in the contest. Thanks for sharing your talent.

Thanks, Ben. Here in Maine, many of the paper mills have shut down, so we harvest far fewer trees than we used to.

This is an excellent 5-7-5 poem for the tree-hugger contest
with the nice addition of the three rhymes.
If not for trees, we likely would not exist,
hence the need to protect and plant more.
More people, more CO2; more trees, more O2.
Good luck in the contest.
Best wishes.

It flowed and rhymed beautifully with only three lines! Loved the artwork as it made it easy to visualize the beauty of the trees and the clean air that it leaves! It made me smile too. Great job!
