Although, this was short, and to the point...You blew it up!!! As we
say in my world. For, you definitely have skills beyond your wildest
imagination. And it actually leaves your readers, looking for more. And
that's saying something, when it's coming from the Lyrical Genius: "TITAN BLACK". Keep Killin it!!!

I'm pleased. Theo is always encouraging me to "release my emotions from my pen" and go full free verse. That's something you and he have in common. I hope to get there one day--most often I stay within the guardrails of one poetic form or another. It's all a growth process for sure! Again, thrilled with your comments! You keep posting and I'll be there to read you!--Thanks, Karenina

Karen,

What a fun piece! I could see the music, hear the castanets, and feel the beat in the ground and in the air. Very descriptive and fun! I loved the layout and presentation - how unique!

Phenomenal! I marvel at the creativity and thought processes of the poet. The imagery in this piece is so profound I can almost hear the music.
"she stomped each note into the ground;" I hear her black shining shoes tap against the flooring. I read the description of the format of the quintilla, and examined your syllables and rhyming to realize exactly how imaginative and clever this piece is.

As you know I rarely review long verses or ones that exceed 3-5 lines. Of course as I fan of yours, I do read your entries.

This is exquisitely written in the quintilian format. Your selected artwork is a perfect match to your poem. Your words and illustration ably capture that image(ry) I saw in my three visits to Spain. Fantastic was the flamenco dancing and your words!

Very elegant! The two stanzas are beautiful, and your description of the dance was very vivid. How great that they children were enjoying the music. I had to find a video of "Vaya Con Dios" and find the Les Paul and Mary Ford version. Lovely. I loved the artwork choice too. It's perfect with the poem. judi

If only I were clever enough to add on the music... (I have tech ADD I think!) Glad you listened to it! Thrilled you enjoyed the poem!

I had to have help when it comes to adding music, but it's not that difficult. Have your copy in edit mode under your posts. Find your video and click on Copy Embed Code. Go to your word perfect or whatever you use for keyboarding and you should see it on the clipboard. Go to your copy in edit mode on FS. Go down to the author's notes and right click. You should see paste on the options that come up. Click on paste and you'll see a lot of strange figures and letters on the author's notes section. That means your video is ready and waiting. Then hit save and you're done. judi

I really like the lively movement of the poem. The flow has a magical quality that invites everyone into its rhythm. The sound and movement words contribute to the overall beat. Nice onomatopoeia. Very well done. Cowboy

' La Alegria de la Danza ', is an exceptionally well-written and delightfully descriptive piece. Penned with craft and skill. It was a privilege to both read and review this talented poet's work. I look forward to seeing your next post.

This is a lovely poem and a gorgeous picture. You can almost hear the sounds of the castanets and the clicking of her heels. I once saw a Flamingo dancer and her performance was amazing.

Both the structure and rhyming of your poem are well done, but the icing on the cake is your manufactured imagery. These two lines could well be a stand-alone poem, not that I want you to do that. I am saying they contribute so much depth and drama to your poem! "She stomped each note into the ground; the air was thick with Spanish sound." I feel like I am there. I love how the first stanza almost beckons to the second. The audience responds by dancing back. What a clever and fun poem!

Thank you Tina! When I watch Flamenco dancers I often feel the power of their stomping as driving the music! I appreciate your observations!

I loved the picture, it was indeed of a Spanish. Your words were delightful especially when you mentioned Vaya con Dios- Go with God. Very well done and greatly enjoyed.
