Brian, thyank you for sharing this. I agree almost completely with what you are saying, especially with regard to Boebert - and the same could easily be applied to a number of other Republican political figures.

However, I have great difficulty seeing this as a poem. You make no attempt to include traditional poetic forms or devices and if read aloud, no one would have any idea that this was intended as a poem.

You don't have to use rhyme or meter, but you do have to use some of the features of poetry, otherwise you have simply produced a piece of prose. There are also sentence errors towards the end.

I am not sure if this is poetry or prose, however, the words are very true. A person's face who is hard and filled with hate does not have soft features While those who are quick to smile usually have softer and welcoming features.
Of course, there are exceptions, con artists who know how to play people.
Thank you for the read.
Regards,
Mary

Your words are so true. What is in our hearts and minds is usually revealed on our faces. I was reading an article online about some people who had been arrested for a serious crime, and just the looks on their faces were scary.

'The human face', is an extremely well-written and deftly descriptive piece. It was a privilege to both read and review this talented poet's work. I look forward to seeing your next post.

Despite the fact that people can have a very expressive face, (I have a granddaughter and nephew who have exactly that) some can still look deadpan, like there's nothing going on. People can become quite skilful at it. But I can likewise see your point. Beautifully written, blessings Roy

Some interesting comments that I happen to agree with. Your expressions show your true feelings and it's hard to control that. The inflections in your tone of voice as well, can expose a lie. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. :)

This work has reached the exceptional level

Some researchers claim that body reactions, including facial tightening, biting, fear, happiness, and sadness, are involuntarily.

Some researchers claim that most reactions are controlled.

Some people react to a person's story, and demeanor, by saying that they look and sound credible.

Actors receive awards, as actors, portraying others.

Picking a jury, cannot be successful, unless the background of each potential juror is known.

The safe answer is not to make a decision about a person, until you have some level of association with them that allows you to verify their claims.

Most advertising is slanted towards a sale of a product. Even the law allows "puffing."

An example: The used car salesman claims "...the air-conditioning is ice cold."

I liked your presentation and content.

Your story could have been more inclusive of other prospectives, as to who is telling the truth, by reminding your readers that empirical evidence is the safest way to reach a realistic level of proof.

What you wrote is a part of the investigation.

Yes. I tend to agree with you. If our emotions are not controlled, if we don't have self-awareness, if we are not able to manage our distressing hate emotions, and have effective relationships, then no matter how smart we are, we are not going to get very far. I liked this thought-provoking post. Thanks for sharing!

Yes, many hide their colours, but, as said. You can fool some of the people some of the time, but not all the people all of the time'

Sooner or later all is revealed, though some do a good job in hiding.
Best wishes.

I understand your opinion and commentary. I do think this is not poetry and should be presented as prose. It also needs some editing.

notes:

I was just looking at a picture on yahoo news of rep. Lauren Boebert

-Cap. Yahoo News
-Cap. Rep.

screaming and got me thinking isn't [it] amazing how hate or love show's on a person's face.

- missing word

I mean It has always fascinated
