That sounds like a massive job for a volunteer job, Liz! It seems the biggest problem with online writing sites is the strange quirks of the programs used. I'm glad you got it all sorted out for Tom.

firstly, great news on you new appointment, congratulations.
From there I've got that smile on my face that your writing usually delivers... and sorry for laughing at your misfortunes and frustration, but it seems to be part and parcel to most everything on site these days... but your way of relaying it cracks me up. Some day are dollars, others diamonds... some days just plain, log off and try again later.
Anyway, good to see the perseverance card win in the end!

I spend nearly as much time self-editing as I do writing original work. The help I get from my editor is not reciprocated because she doesn't want to do creative writing. She stopped that about 10 years ago. Now she just likes to edit. She does plenty of that.

How do you get through the door with those angels wings and that Wonder Woman Cape? You amaxe and astound, both with your generosity and your talent. Not to mention your ever willingness to help--always! Tim is fortunate you edited for him--and darn these systems that confound our every attempt to communicate when it really matters! Computer "chips" have no souls...and they're not even good with DIP!
Glad to hear you both got through it all. Fame ought to visit both of you...and unpack!

How cool! I can imagine you as an editor. You may have found your second calling (or third or fourth!) ! There is actually a lot of money to be made there. I do editing from time to time for folks on their novels and I charge 1-3cents a word, depending on what I'm doing. Nice extra income!

Computers are an amazing creation. If another person tells me they only do what we tell them to do, I am going to scream, because my computer never does what I tell it to do. I swear it has a mind of it's own. LOL Thank you for sharing.
