A very sweet poetic offering. I have a lot of those days. Good job! And good luck in the contest.

Technical points:
I think the flow would move better, if you replaces the 'and' in the second line with a comma. I read it aloud with and without, and it felt better in my mouth without it.

Thank you so much. I think you are right about the "and" but I needed it for the sake of the 30 syllable rule.

    Yeah, that makes it hard!

Such a clever little poem. A perfect 30 syllables. Perfect choice of artwork. Great rhyme. But, what I loved most was the attitude of the poem. The empowerment of choice to do whatever it is you want to do based on how you feel.
This is a great entry for the contest!

What a life, it makes me want to join in on the fun. Retirement is such a great reward after working hard. Your poem reminds me to enjoy the simple things and it gave me a chuckle. Thank you for your relaxing poem, it took me on a mini vacation.

-Nice artwork and
presentation.
-You have used your 30
syllables well with a good topic.
-Effective imagery and rhyme.
-I like the contrast in moods
from laughing and singing
to just wanting to relax
and "dream the time away."
-I like your ending; good
luck in the contest.
