The title drew me in, remembering another author from way back who loved to write on dandelions. I love your haiku Gypsy, especially your central line. I could imagine all the little Father Christmas's (that's what we called the seeds) floating with the wind, children running after them. A lovely presentation.
cheers.

My mother turned me against wishing one day when I was very young. She was working in her garden and I was being the annoying 5 year old that I was at that time of life. I kept walking alongside her wishing for this and wishing for that. Suddenly she turned to me and said, "If you fill one hand with wishes, and fill the other hand with dirt, see which one fills up the fastest. At the end of the day you will have an empty hand and a dirty hand. You cannot eat with a dirty hand. So, all of that wishing only left you empty handed and hungry." I did not really understand her, but I knew that I did not want any thing to prevent me from eating, a favorite pastime down to this day.

Thank you for sharing this Haiku poem with us. One of my favorite quotes and I don't know from who is "When you look at a field of dandelions you can either see a hundred weeds or a hundred wishes." I choose to see a hundred wishes. I have a feeling so do you. I enjoyed reading.

A lovely Haiku with a peaceful spring picture and dandelion to support it. I well remember blowing dandelions and making wishes as a child..what child hasn't! Good use of vivid imagery and alliteration. All the best Franky

A childhood memory in verse.

The words are simple and childlike. The poem flows well. Summer and dandelion gone to seed. Warmth and hopeful days.

Thanks for a touch of nostalgia.

I can remember as a child how we would blow on those delicate feathery like dandelion seeds, but I forgot about the wishes, drat! I must have missed out on many answered wishes, beautifully written Gypsy, blessings Roy

I like the picture with the white puffball and the black background. It certainly makes one feel the puffball is floating around. It's time to make a wish.

I guess I can make a wish looking at the picture. I wish everyone happy writing.

Thanks for sharing this poem. I'm sure everyone will enjoy it and make a wish too.

Yes Gypsy, blowing on those dandelions brings back childhood memories for sure! Good use of your selected artwork to complement your Spring Haiku. Unfortunately, on this side of the Equator, we have a wait to see this scene again.

How lovely. I remember gathering these "flowers," to bring to my mom, who always thanked me and put them on display in a jelly glass. My wish came true everything I saw my mom's face when she received them. Thanks for sharing. :)

-Nice artwork and
presentation, Gypsy.
-Effective nature and
seasonal imagery.
-I like the theme of
a "dandelion wish"
and how it floats
across the lawn.
-It's nice to think of
spring in what feels like winter.
