To live life to its fullest measure is to me the greatest feat possible. It has to be a terrible thing to go out knowing you left some life and living on the table. It is for sure that you cannot get of the embalmer's table to go out and live the life you failed to live and enjoy. Once they get you on that table it is all over. What you should have done will have to be done by someone else, you are all done.

Absolutely, Jay, I couldn't agree with you more. I dare say I have lived my life to the full. I've travelled most of the world, I have encountered love, I've found my real family in the States, and I've settled in a country I've always loved. To top it all off, I have three lovely granddaughters. What more could I ask for? Well, that this Covid could take a break, that people got vaccinated so I could see all my family who are all thousands of miles away from me. That's one last wish. I loved your poem. Ulla:)))

I have read a lot of your poems and they always rhyme so smoothly! As usual, this poem conveyed a beautiful message in a compacted form. The line "No more tears or laughs await you" is sad but beautiful.

Aww, no more laughter? I loved this poem it said a lot of good things but when it came to near the end, I thought you said no more tears and no more laughter. You make some valid points in your poem. The line that I like the best is: "Life's not over till you live it." If you aren't living life and enjoying it then life is over before you lived it. This is a very enjoyable poem. i don't see any mistakes except where a rhyme should be. Great job!
