Hi Bill,
Sometimes, you can tell when a child has talent... writing or art, or perhaps singing. Consider yourself fortunate when you can encourage a young soul. You can help them on their way. Buy them a book, or paint and brushes, music. Whatever works.
You did a good job with this 2-10-2 poem. Writing, a transfer of thoughts to paper.

A great picture you have found for your poem. I like the idea of
her writing in her journal bringing meaning to her imagination. For sure,
writing is going to expand her imagination. I would like to see
a different word than connecting. Not sure what that would be, but
I think it would be more clear.

I think transferring is better. Also,
could be increasing or expanding. But,
I am not an expert by any means.

I notice that the image is of a young girl writing. I have always said that if we can get one person to start writing, our time of writing is well spent. Poetry is not always easy as it takes a flowage of words to blend well.
