A virtual six. Very thought-provoking and wonderfully written with some beautiful imagery. Glad to have found your work. Tell me again the stories you recommended in an earlier message to me (I can't seem to track down the early recommendations).

Thanks for the excellent review and I am glad you enjoyed this poem. I like to make people think. The stories I mentioned are in a collection called Intersections in my portfolio, back on the second page probably. In it you will find American Pioneer and End of the Line. estory

Experiencing the moment between worlds
Apocalypse pt. 17

estory, You have interesting questions. Its hard to say we will have a new life. What I believe only Our Creator knows.
I will say you did excellent to make one wonder what God has in store for each one of us.

Thanks so much for the excellent review and I am always happy to find such interesting and diverse perspectives when people post reviews of my work. Its always great to get people thinking. I wanted to get people thinking about what this experience might be like, in human terms. Leaving one place and its memories for something of an unknown, that's always difficult for us. estory

This is an interesting idea. Sometimes I wonder about it, too. Our lives have changed so much lately. Sometimes I don't know where I'm. You have asked the right question.

I hear the real material world is full of lattice of electrons. The life itself is made up by our brains who is keeping telling stories and feeding into our brains.

Well done.

These are certainly questions that have occupied the minds of mankind through the ages, particularly as people approach that transition point that you describe so aptly as ' the void
lying between memory
and hope'.

"after we have leapt over the void lying between memory and hope," is my favorite line, as it pinpoints the position we are in after we die. My hope is in Jesus, so I know where I will land, but I respect any and all questions about eternity. I hope we do remember our life here and do not lose the memories. This poem makes me think alot, lol. I have often reviewed poems for how much they make me think. There does not need to be answers in this. I like that you sparked thought instead. Well done!

Thanks for the excellent review and I think you got exactly what I was trying to get across here. I wanted to get people thinking about what this experience might be like; its always difficult for us to leave one place and its memories for an unknown. Jesus will get us there, I believe too, but there is still that leap over the void. estory

I don't believe the Buddhist reincarnation theory, but Jesu returning after resurrection we do know, he was able to disguise Himself on the road to Ameus, from the two disciples, opening the scriptures to them and then vanishing, angels can appear then disappear, Jesus could translate Himself, He suddenly appeared to His disciples holes and all, but was recognisable, who knows, but I must admit, I don't care, I have faith in God. Beautifully written my friend, blessings Roy

Thanks for your very interesting perspective on this piece. I was really trying to get people thinking about what this experience of transitioning from this world and its memories to the new world might be like. We are always hanging on to the past, in some way, and anxious about unknown futures. Jesus appearing to the disciples in different forms is an interesting and intriguing event. I now believe it was meant to show that the physical is not as important or absolute as the spiritual. They recognized him at last, through his spirit. estory

There is a lot to wonder about. Some people believe they have all the, but I'm sure there are some surprises for all of us. If we believe the Bible we will know all the people we've known before. But a lot of former things won't be remembered because they are painful memories. But are they something we forget in time or instantly. Most believe the old will be adults but young again. You present a lot to think about.

Thanks for the interesting perspective on the piece. Lots of people seem to be thinking about this moment because of it, and that's what I like to do. Get people thinking. I think the bible says we will recognize people, but there are also indications we will not care about such things in that new world. When someone told Jesus at Nazareth one day: "Your mother and your brothers are here, rabbi!" He answered them: "All these people are my mother and my brothers!" estory

Many believe prophesy is being fulfilled and we are coming to the end. It does make us wonder. Will there be another life or will this be the complete end. Your poem asks some interesting questions that makes the reader wonder. Thank you for sharing.

That last stanza is absolutely gorgeous. I loved the imagery of the butterfly. The idea of being between hope and memory is also fascinating and a good choice of words to describe the uncertainty. I really enjoyed this. Well done.

Yeah, that last line was my favorite too. Interesting that you are the only person that mentioned it. But that's how it goes sometimes; things you really like about a piece are not always what other people at large like. estory
