Ana is a very courageous woman. I hope her plan works. I wonder how long they will notice that the motorcycle is gone...I guess we will find that out in the next chapter...

Did I really miss a whole chapter? It just goes to show, how crazy my life has been, lately. When I started reading the next chapter, I realized that I had missed this one!

A lot happened here! Suzy and Miles got a whopper of a gift from a very generous Detective Sally Law, and poor, beleaguered Analiese tries to hatch a plan to trap Tony -- but what will become of her?

I only have one suggestion for a revision:

and it's close enough for us to baby sit...."
-->
and it's close enough for us to babysit...."

I hope to review your next chapter soon, before the promotion expires later! And of course, I need to find out what happens next.

Miles, grinning "like a lovesick fool"! You do have a way with words, Sally. That was funny.

I wish a friend could have given me a new house as a wedding present! Lol. This was quite a chapter you've given us, smiles and tears in the first half as we cheer Suzie and Miles as they start their married life, and then we have Ana putting herself in danger to get that rat back in prison. Ken will be worried sick when he discovers she's gone. Excellent chapter, Sal, well done!! :)) Sandra xx

This is a real mix of happy times and anxious anticipation of what will happen to Analiese out on the Harley supposedly looking to cut to the chase with her ex-husband. Always a great read. Owe you a star.

Hi Sally,
And here I thought you were going to wrap up this detective tale. I guess I was wrong.
First the wedding reception... Miles and Suzy, how lucky can they get? A blue house as a wedding gift? Wow! It takes 20-25 years to pay for a house. No wonder the two of them are jumping up and down!
But then, there's Analiese Irving, giving the slip to Russ DeWoody, taking his Harley without asking, and putting herself in danger. Why would she do that? Tony is out to kill her. She knows that. I guess she doesn't like being backed into a corner. The only defense is to attack. And I thought Tony's next move would be to skedaddle. Again, I was wrong. So here we go again!
Nicely penned!
Hugs,
Kimbob

I think perhaps Analiese is up to something that might be danger to her, and Ken Washington at this stage thinks she didn't pick up her cell phone cause she was watching a movie. Meanwhile Sally has bicentennial a wedding gift of something blue to her favourite bride, Suzy and Frenchman miles, well done, blessings Roy

This interesting chapter begins as a heartwarming delight as newlyweds Suzy and Miles receive as a gift the blue house they had admired without knowing Sally and Jackson already owned it. You handled this scene and its dialog beautifully.

In Section Two, Russ DeWoody reveals to Ana that Tony Alfanzi has escaped. Though alarmed at first, she comes up with a scheme to get him "locked up for good." Clearly, whatever her plan is, there is great risk involved; but her mind is set, and, in Section Three, she dives into it by making an appointment with Tony by phone. He's smart enough to be wary and take precautions, so the suspense is back to peak. You described her steps in starting Russ's Harley as though you've done so yourself.

In Section Four, Ken Washburn, who already has an engagement ring for Ana and still thinks she is safe with Russ, does not worry when she fails to answer his call on the third ring as usual. The last sentence is in keeping with his state of mind and heart.

Superb, and aptly illustrated by the Yuletide Camellia.

Hello Sal.

It seems to me that Ana Is taking a big risk slipping off to rendezvous with Tony. It is sort of a mystery to me. I'm not sure why she would want to run into him., especially without a police escort. That is clearly the point of tension in this chapter, so we shall see. How that goes.
