It was when you mentioned thunder I guessed Lola was a dog, but prior to that I thought it was a woman involved in a menage a trois. An entertaining read.

I thought you were talking about a person until I got to the very end of your story. Quite a story with a twist at the end. Puppies are definitely cute; so glad that you got to choose.

I just loved this I started out thinking it was a pet then as it went on I started doubting it especially when Lola spent the night in dads bedroom all night when mum went to spend the night with grandma. So what a great build up to good finale Great stuff well done. Kooky.

This is a terrific posting, Jerry and should do very well in the contest. Sigh I actually remember that song way back in 1955 that was written for a Broadway play. (I had to google it to learn more because I was just in the sixth grade at the time.) Sarah Vaughan had the popular version that was so sexy. Best wishes in the contest, my friend.

I enjoyed this cute little story about Lola and family. At first, it seemed misleading because Lola sounded like a loose woman who played the field. However, when the twist was cleverly revealed at the end, she turned out to be a Mama dog having puppies. You weaved that unexpected twist in there so skillfully. Your descriptions of the events were vivid and memorable. Great job!
