This is a charming poem with a good story and excellent imagery. I rhymes well and has a smooth meter. I like the fact that it teaches a lesson about ants in a gentle way. Good luck in the contest.

Wow, this is so true! I have had a few experiences with ants before they are invasive and more trouble than they're worth! Haha, this is not how I feel I just wanted some levity to add to this serious post. In reality, I love all creatures both great and small, even the ant is one of God's creatures don't you know!

Wow, this is so true! I have had a few experiences with ants before they are invasive and more trouble than they're worth! Haha, this is not how I feel I just wanted some levity to add to this serious post. In reality, I love all creatures both great and small, even the ant is one of God's creatures don't you know!

A nice rhyming couplet poem written in simple language. The images are clear. The poem stays on message. The body of he poem leads to the conclusion in orderly fashion. And the tasks described are made to feel good, not burdensome.
Suggestion:
Only one. Using a smaller font would stop word wrap and make the poem prettier on the page.

Thank you for your lovely words and thoughtful review. I didn't realize it was wrapping (it doesn't on my computer). It's always a bit of a balance catering for those with poor eyesight. But I have made it smaller, as it doesn't look good at all if it wraps.
Would you mind having another glance and letting me know if it now is okay, and doesn't wrap? If you are too busy, I understand. Thank you.

Nice poem with good rhyming on a good topic every child needs to learn. The only critique I have is that GOOD and FOOD do not actually rhyme. There should be plenty of substitutions you can make that will work though! Thanks for the read.
