This is an enjoyable poem with a nice message and a lesson. It has a good rhyme scheme and smooth rhythm. The imagery is very well displayed, too. Good luck in the contest.

What a cute poem with a lesson in loving others. The repetition of Penelope's name at the beginning of each verse is effective and probably fun for kids to hear and say. Well done and good luck in the contest!

I will first start off by saying I am very familiar with the Penny series and I love everyone of them. The warmth and the love you convey in these poems is a gift indeed and if these are not made into children's books it would be a tragedy.

Lovely sentimental piece here, I liked this very much. So many people out there are alone and pretty much pennyless in need of a helping hand.
I'm very glad your Penny in this story was such a helpful little one, she learned much about opening her heart that Thanksgiving :)
