This is an interesting travelogue on the things to see and do in North Dakota. Most of what you mention I never have heard of before. You could have discussed many of the topics to a greater extent and I would have enjoyed it even more. Note: Sacajawea

Thank you Carol for reviewing and your great comments. I noted how you spelled her name but according to history, meaning the white man has been spelling it wrong, sorry.

Hi Alie,
Wow... got tired, I was so engaged and travelling with you seeing so many places and giant objects in such a short space and time.

We have few 'big' animals and such down here in OZ as well... but yours do sound scaled-up and large... I should imagine the Aussies stole the idea?

I then I started thinking of all the knowledge I was garnishing for my American Jeopardy I watch most evenings... I actually think that 'Geese in flight' was an answer to one of the questions a couple of nights ago.

To have so much 'journey' wealth is a very special thing in anyone's life... and you my friend are proof of this. I love that I get to journey vicariously through your travel and journey's.

This is very special... and I can't wait to be on my next adventure within your writing.

Once again, thank you so much for sharing yours and Jim's experiences... magic!

With our thoughts we create...
a map of achievement.

Kind regards,
James.

Wow, you've seen some awesome sights, aryr. Thanks for sharing some of them with me as I haven't been up that way. Your descriptions were great. I loved the start about the Enchanted Highway. What an awesome sight that would have been. You described it perfectly. I enjoyed everything you shared and look forward to more.

Talking about big animals! In Jamestown, ND on [ one ] can see up close, live bison,
Respectfully, Jan

I enjoyed reading this travelogue as I have enjoyed all your non fiction memoirs and your fantastic travelling life in your amazing RV. you have probably seen more of North America than most Americans.

I am still trying to get out there and it looks like California in February at the moment.

'(Hague 1885-195).' => number missing in the second date here.

I have learned a lot about your country, not familiar with the names or places but this is well written as you visited these places. Does First Nation people have their own lands and handle their own affairs? I think you told me you were native American (unless I have mixed you up with someone else?) At that time I said write about your tribal heritage. Well done my friend. K xx

Thank you so much for reviewing, Kay. I am so glad that you are learning. MMmm Well there are reservations and they can own land, they have their own police departments but need governmental permission for every thing.
reply by Aussie on 18-Nov-2021
In other words, they are treated the same as our people. Stupid whites built a place and gathered different tribes to live there. They couldn't understand each other's language - fights broke out. In Oz there are 10,000 dialects. These days things have settled down and one tribe runs the place with help from the Govt.
reply by the author on 19-Nov-2021
That's accurate. With so many dialects it is truly difficult. Many years ago like you, fights broke out but things have calmed down.

Quality of life is changing for the young ones. We have many talented artists. The times when whites stole our land runs deep. As we have no written language, the story of the British taking our land and other atrocities is never forgotten; handed down through 200 yrs and there still is a dislike for whites. Still, a lot of blacks rely on Govt. handouts and grog. As I said, the young ones have taken up their banner of pride. K xx

A panoramic tour de force! I hate to travel, yet am tempted by the delights you detail.

The bit about the cow with horns and teats reminds me of a stupid controversy over an anatomically correct bronze statue of a bull. The owner was forced to destroy it because ignorant people objected to the sight of his dick and balls.

Wonderful piece. You enthusiasm is made manifest!

I admire you so much for all this travelling and the different places you have seen and all this experience you write about. Most people stay inside their home towns and rarely get to see the outside world. Here you have seen so much and thank you so much for sharing these scenes with us, much enjoyed, I feel like I am on your travels with you, love Dolly x

Thank you so much Dolly for reviewing and your amazing comments. Before I came to the USA in 1996, I had also seen from one coast to the other of Canada, but this is much more interesting, lol.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful adventures with us! And I'm so happy you made it safely to Oregon!
Thanks for teaching me the right spelling of Sacagawea is Sakakawea! All those sights and museums sound so interesting! I looked up the Enchanted Highway to see the pictures.

Very interesting! We live in Wyoming, trying to retire this year and make some trips like you describe here. We have lived here for some 12 years, and sadly have been so busy working our jobs, on our home(Roofing, swamp cooler, skylights, weatherproofing), and creating front and back yards, that we have not been anywhere to site-see.
Will read more of your writing.
Cheers, irish
