Hi Paul, true love is just what you make it
to be...awake or in a dream...true love is unconditional...
forever...no one walks away...they only see each other...
very rare to find...love and respect it when given...
love your poem my friend...picture prefect...very well written...love Linda xxoo

-Nice image, Paul.
-A good topic, imagery,
and rhyme.
-You do a good job os
showing how difficult it
is to find true love
because often it is in our dreams.
-But sometimes you find the
right person at the right time:)
-Good luck in the contest.

Thanks, Pam. Thank goodness, I found the right person at the right time.

You are welcome, Paul. I am glad you did; I did, too!!!

Your poem follows the rules of the contest...the picture is the sweetest and the poem is kind of heartbreaking. I like the contrast. It is interesting and often true that true love is often not true, if you're dreaming! Clever poem and all together a pleasure to read!

Yes, sometimes you are right. What is the meaning of true, in this respect, and what is the meaning of love in another. Only a few find the answer to validate the meaning.
Best wishes.

Thanks for the review. I am lucky to be one of the few.

This fifteen-word poem, True Love?, has the required word count and seems to cast doubt on the romantic ideal of true love. One does have to discount human nature.

This is deeper than it looks and has a clear and realistic feel. I think it says a great deal with only fourteen words. Clearly, someone with life experience who has been in-love and through the trials of it, understand it. Real life seldom reflect our dreams.

Thanks for the review. That's a bummer about real life.

I liked your short poem for the writing prompt. True love is sacrifice, kindness, loyalty and being there when needed. Many people fall in and out of love like changing their socks. But true love will last a lifetime. Well done. K xx

Hi Mystery Writer,
Great short poem that says so much in its brevity of lines. True love can be hard hard sometimes. Not the time to bolt and run, but hang on for dear life and see it through lol.
Great entry for the contest and best of luck to you! :))
Always,

This is a good entry for the short poem contest. It's hard to say much of anything impressive with only a handful of words, but you did it! Good luck with the contest!

Thanks, Patty. It's funny how long it takes sometimes to write a short poem.

A very good "wake-up" call to those who have fallen head over heels in love without considering all the practical parts of making love work in the prose of life. Best wishes in the contest!

Thanks, Helen. "... in the prose of lie." That's a good one, coming from a poet.
