Minnesota is beautiful but I don't think I could deal with that kind of cold for long. It gets cold here in Maine, but I don't know if it gets as cold as it does there. As I get older, I like it less and less. Good luck in the contest.

Thank you for this nice review. My dad was from Brunswick Maine, but I never got to see it. He said it's was a beautiful place. Thanks again. :)

This is a cute entry for the cold contest. True to rhyme and rhythm you described the seriousness of the freezing cold where you live. Good luck with the contest!

a very frigid poem about Minnesota's weather. It also gets this cold in our state of Wisconsin. When the temperature gets below zero you must put on another layer of clothing.

My daughter lives in Superior Wisconsin, just across from Duluth, MN where we live. I go there often and know it can get frigid there as well. Thank you so much for reading my poem. :)

You are so right about Minnesota! I like a rhyming poem and your rhyming and cadence is good in this one. Love the picture that seems to move - blowing snow effect. When I met my late husband he lived in Minnesota and I lived in the South. Me living in Minnesota was a deal breaker so he moved South! Great job.

I felt the chilling cold here with the icicles and the wind that cuts like a knife, I need to light a fire now and chase away those chills, a fine well rhymed write for the contest, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Nicely written to the prompt. It gets pretty cold here in Maine, but I've heard some horror stories about the Minnesota winters.

The winters that we have in Maine
Are really rough. Now I'll explain.
October brings us frozen lakes.
And so from then on what it takes
To keep that winter blast at bay
Is Jim Beam 'til the end of May.

This work has reached the exceptional level

Having grown up in a small town in Northern Minnesota your poem describes it perfectly and gave me frost bite just remembering. Great
job! And good luck in the contest. You certainly did a good job of meeting the criteria.

Thank you for this exceptional review. We used to deliver papers and I frostbit my toes. The doctor wasn't sure if they'd have to amputate....luckily they didn't. Thanks again.

It certainly is. New York is my former home which breaks records all the time. Cool art and rich descriptions add to your fine work.
Sending you my best today as always, and best wishes for the upcoming vote,
Sally Law :))

Dear Mystery Writer,

OoooOOOoooo... are you booking reservations? You make it all sound so very TEMPTING!! uumm... not.

We only have about a month and a half of really hard cold weather - which would actually make you laugh loudly. From the middle of December through January, we'll get into the 30s pretty regularly. hahahaha

Good luck! You've described it well!
