We'll, estory, it may not be that far away, as things are going around the world right now. Everything looks quite bleak, as I see it. Man seems hellbent to destroy everything around him. But I've decided to carry on living life to the full something I've always done.
What the world will look like for my three young grandchildren in thirty years time, I will never know. Your stark poem brought that home very clearly. Ulla:)))

Thanks for the excellent review and all your continued support. The salvation comes from Christ, and that new world He will take us to will be coming in the last part of this series. estory

You have touched on the most asked question in the world. I am not sure of the details, but I am sure that there is a spirit world that we will go to after we die.

The emotions you trigger in this poem are very unsettling. Of course, trusting God is supposed to take away fear. I would hope this would not be something we would be confronted with. I would like believe the end of this world would open our minds to a place of awareness beyond which we have never before experienced.

Thanks so much for the excellent review and your interesting perspective on the poem. I think once we get over to the new world, it will be great, but in writing this piece I wanted to capture the unsettling moment I imagined we would feel in the moment in between the two worlds; the one we are familiar with, and the one we are unfamiliar with. This series is wrapping up; one more transition piece, and then we have the New Jerusalem to end it. estory

I am so sorry that I run out of six:( I love the image this stanza creates: "
Like a raindrop on a windowpane
brightens for a moment
in the sweep of the headlights
Then vanishes,
never to be seen again?" - i imagine the hope coming through the ice and then getting drowned by despair and leaving behind the question where did it go? Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings.

Thanks for the excellent review and your encouraging comments and interesting perspective on the piece. I am glad I was able to capture something of that feeling of loss and sadness we might feel at the end of this world we are in. And how unsettling it might be for a time. estory

The moment between worlds...
Apocalypse pt. 16
estory,
I found your writing very interesting and well written.
I to wonder what will take place when all Earths life will be no more. Will God create a new Earth

Thanks for the excellent review and I was glad I could get people thinking on this subject. Yes, the bible says there will be a new heaven and a new Earth, but in writing this I tried to imagine the unsettling feeling we might have in losing the familiar for an unfamiliar place, if that makes sense. estory

I used to think of such a moment too and doubt how it shall look. I wonder whether it shall occur to all at once or individually. Just as you write,
"will there be light at the end of the tunnel?
Will we hear a voice
feel a hand
see a face"
I think the best thing to do is to be the best I can and leave the rest to God. The Bible says no one knows the exact time but God alone. Thanks for sharing. It a great write.

Trust in God is the only way to live this life, then look forward to the next. Very nicely done. I mentioned before that if people are afraid of dying, they must be very anxious in this life. :)

Thanks so much for the excellent review and the interesting perspective you had for my piece. We must trust in God, but I wanted to try and capture what that unsettling moment might be like when this world we are familiar with ends, and the new one begins. This series will wrap up in two more chapters; the last one will be a celebration of the New World. estory

A very interesting poetic reflection on what may happen at that moment, whenever it happens, that this world will pass- and a new way of being may emerge -

Wow. I'm sorry that I'm not a Christian and my involvement with high-tech and crypto makes me have different world view. Still I feel everything changes too fast and will be faster. Covid19 has accelerated the adoption of the AI and VR.
Well done and good luck.

Thanks for the excellent review and your interesting perspective. You can become a Christian anytime you want. Read the Bible. I think you will find my next book, which I will start posting next year, very interesting. It will be called Artificial Intelligence and the first piece in it will be Start. estory

I'm looking forward to reading your book. I have my own spirituality.

I'm guessing things would be a lot simpler if we had a great relationship with God before we get to that point. I know He's ready for us to have that relationship. It's on us. Thank you for sharing. I enjoyed reading.
