Some things weary us. Many people have told me they are fed-up of reading my endless posts on Coronavirus. I persist, as I think it's an important subject to keep in the mind of the reader. Me, it's reading about Donald Trump. He's no longer President, right? He should now fade into the woodwork I feel.

Thanks for stopping by--always a pleasure!

I've got an extension of 4 days--he decided to stay away until Thursday--he came over to drop off soup on my porch but stayed distant when I came out to greet him--he says he wants to be sure he doesn't give corona to his daughter and ruin her vacation--she's flying to Florida--risky--if she gets corona she can't blame Chuck for it!

My first husband ranted too--on the left-wing. I don't want to hear diatribes regardless.

Chuck and I don't have a true commitment--we knew from the start we'd never marry--religious differences to the extreme. I don't buy into the idea that "it's the same as being married"--as I see it, if you're not married, you're single. Besides, he is not in the least romantic. On the upside, being with him has kept me from making a third marital mistake.

The objectives correlative of the work reminisces a simmering love affair; with scarcely any hue of affection.

The work highlights the off and on delights of the affair and how it approximates hardly being sustained.

The work earns its texture through the effective use of flashbacks, anecdotes and sarcasms.

Excellent work. Bravo.

Thanks for stopping by, Lloyd! You are perceptive--though there is much affection, he is not in the least romantic, which I find demoralizing, apart from the rants. Cheers. LIZ

I always say in my Sat booze party of old geezers, "Guys,if you want to make enemies, talk politics. If you want to make friends, talk sex." I think it really really works. All kinds of bawdy jokes start spilling out!:) You have put up with him for 12 years. Pardon him for his political views. He is naive to think that the policians will respect his views however right they may be:):). They are thickskinned.Have a great week wnd. Enjoy! No Politics.

You must be confusing this with someone else's piece--I always use 24pt text on white background.

I remember the first hiatus due to his incessant political diatribe. I also remember all that you went through helping Chuck selling his house etc. But who is the "bumbling bleeding-heart sob?" Now I'm also curious if you missed him. I think if you did, you wouldn't need to ask. But you are a kind soul.

After Bill's experience in getting covid from a trip to FL, it's good that Chuck wants to be clear of any blame. Although you don't have it. Sounds like you are good friends.
reply by the author on 14-Nov-2021
Actually, he wasn't thinking of it that way of preempting blame--he's just worried about giving it to her and ruining her trip--someone else pointed that out to me about how risky it was to travel.

Chuck is certainly an interesting person! Most people in Australia had absolutely no time for the arrogance and narcissism of DT, and although we are well aware of the shortcomings of JB he hasn't earned the same ire and is better accepted here, for at least his calmer demeanour. Mind you, we aren't living with the consequences of his decision-making any more than we were with Trump's. We are probably just glad he's not so much in our news as the former one was. Really, is there no-one else???!!! Here politics is not so divisive as over in the US. We don't all get so angry and upset on an on-going basis. Interesting post. I hope that Chuck's attitudes don't spoil a twelve-year relationship!

You are quick! Hope you won a pump.

I set down to write this by way of clarifying my thoughts--didn't happen--thus, the circular conclusion.

No I didn't. Doesn't matter. Was just at the computer when you post popped up. I think here we are a bit more resigned to our politicians and more cynical about any one being a good leader.
