Hello Brett, you wrote this story over a year ago, so I hope that you are doing well and the cancer is being held at bay. Of special note:
Unfortunately, that would allow the tumor six more weeks of growth time prior to it bring removed. Not my preference.
(I can relate to above. I had renal cell stabe 3b cancer, and the pre-surgery testing took three months. Meanwhile cancer is growing. There's has got to be a better way.)
What actually pulled me into your story was the photo. I used that photo several years ago to write a poem. The photo is most colorful and beautiful. Helvi2 is a talented artist.

I was shocked when you first mentioned the word cancer because it it a scary word. When I learned it was basal cell shin cancer, I relaxed. These are usually so common and easily treated they aren't sometime most people give a lot of thought. When I met the man I married in 1954, he had them on both ears. Over the years, he must have had several hundred on all parts of his body, his face, nose and ears. Some became other types than basal cell. At least two were melonomas. Still he lived to be nearly 88 and didn't die from skin cancer, I wouldn't worry too much if I were you. Just get them treated. Almost everyone I know has dealt with a few of these.

I have had several removed over the years. The first one was on the bridge of my nose. Then I had several on my forearms. I was always a sun worshiper. Loved to bee out in the sun. A few years ago the doctor lasered a bunch of suspect spots on my exposed areas. Hopefully he got them all. He has quit coming to town now. We don't have a skin specialist of our own and I am unable to travel. This will be helpful to many, I know. My husband had several removed from his back.Good job, Brett. Nancy:)

I have had several removed over the years. The first one was on the bridge of my nose. Then I had several on my forearms. I was always a sun worshiper. Loved to bee out in the sun. A few years ago the doctor lasered a bunch of suspect spots on my exposed areas. Hopefully he got them all. He has quit coming to town now. We don't have a skin specialist of our own and I am unable to travel. This will be helpful to many, I know. My husband had several removed from his back.Good job, Brett. Nancy:)

-She detected some cells and wanted

I was told by Judiverse and Jannypan to read your informative post and hope your skin cancer will be completely removed and that there won't be any metastasis! My husband had the same and it was completely removed and his dermatologist joked that it was "rust" as she sees it so often among her older patients. Keep us posted about the results in December!

First, I'm sorry this problem is plaguing you. It's good the doctors can cite the contributing factors leading to your cancer. The survival rate is good. I would be alarmed too if I had to wait so long for the results. Thanks for posting the signs. Keep up in the know.

My brother had skin cancer as he used to be a sub worshiper in his younger years he had several skin cancers on his face removed an had skin from his hip replace the patches removed.
I am so sorry you have to go through all this hassle having these cancers showing up everywhere. I pray to God for your safe recoveries from all theses surgeries you have to have.
It hard when they keep postponing surgery I keep doing it. I get mad when they do that !

Thank you for sharing. I am a breast cancer survivor, but to be honest I am always looking over my shoulder wondering where it's going to show up next. My grandma and Mom both struggle skin cancer. I worry about that too, because I was one of those gals who sunbathed, using only baby oil, back before anybody used sunscreen. Grandma and Mom are blue-eyed and blonde. I take after my dad, brown-eyed and dark brown hair, now mostly gray. LOL I'm hoping that helps, probably not. I will pray for you.

My husband has has a few small ones removed and treated. His daughter had a large one on her forearm a number of years ago. She had it removed and has been cancer-free for several years.
