I just had to have a laught at this one, not only dogs do that, but likewise our cats, at one time we had 6 cats and a dog all vying for room under the bed...there was no room for Elaine and myself, well done, great post Paul, blessings Roy

Thanks, Roy. You and your wife probably have the same problem that my wife and I have - old age. We used to be quick enough to beat the animals under the bed.

Nice write. The rhyme flows well, smooth and metered. Sounds like the pooch has it all under control. Dogs don't know how to pray... I don't think. They only know how to survive.

I liked your poem. The first stanza is excellent. The second one loses rhythm a bit. A picture of a dog under a bed would have made the poem glow. Maybe, sandbags are out, flows more smoothly. It's up to you. Just a suggestion.
