As usual, another great read. Can't wait to see some more of this and where it is all headed. Just a couple of possible spags on this round.(his)own vessel;

A lot of interesting stuff going on in this chapter, Sally. The painting has changed hands again and Alfanzi is on the loose again. Can't help but wonder how many more deaths he will be responsible for before this is over. Well done.

Sally. Yes, away most of the time, but Good to come in to read this. Professional, tight, and reliable.
A good piece of writing. There is an opening for this genre with Mastery sadly gone, and how well you command.

The characters, yes, will take me a little time to fully realize them because just getting into the story, but everything fits nicely, and feels right. I am settling into this film.

One thing:

"This is my life now," Suzy assured. "I may not be a cop, but I might as well be. I can't think of anything I would rather be doing than marrying Lieutenant Miles Jean-Baptiste.

I thought Miles, would be enough rather than the whole name, as she is marrying him, so she knows him well, so unless to really cement her statement with stronger emotion, it would have been more natural to just call him by his first name in that situation as she knows him well.
What do you think?

Ok Sal, so good to see you writing. I have no doubt this will be a success, because I believe in you, and I know you believe in yourself.
Bravo.
Best wishes.
RG

Wow, that painting came to light in this chapter. But as the story goes, no one knows where it is, other than the one who has the painting. Hopefully they live long enough to find out where it is hidden.

Alfanzi's free and will be coming around. Hopefully, not during the wedding. I can't imagine the fear everyone must feel, not knowing what he'll do next. Let's get them safely married.

Quite a list of characters you have in this novel. I can't recall reading any of this one before but maybe I did. I love the unique names of some of the people in this novel, as well as the addition of the dogs. Your dialogue is smooth and makes the story easy and enjoyable to read and follow. I will keep an eye out for more of this story. Great writing.

Okay, we have Eugene Izard dead and apparently the last person to see him alive is Detective Mike Lembowsky. We have Tony Alfanzi with a million dollars and on a boat. Not sure to where. We have a wedding that Tony could and probably will cause problems at. Everything seems to be going good.

Is that place you mentioned in Arkansas, anywhere near Goose Feathers? Lots happening up there in that part of the country. However, I shall get Sally and King to sniff out the bad ones. Good one Sal. My blessings to you.
