Thank you for explaining the rules of the modern haiku.
Your work does lead one into calm feelings.
But since it is highlighting a child, I think that he/she might remember the statements heard about the moon, ie...made of green cheese, a man in the moon, or making a wish.
Yes there is a certain 'slender.'
Nice work.

Hi Gypsy,
Phenomenal, Gypsy! Beautiful presentation, too in soothing graceful colors that brilliantly highlight your words.
You are such a master to learn Haiku from. Very impressed with this one that leaves such a quiet sense of awe. Childlike and pristine. An enviable satori :))
Always,
Senyai

Yes, Gypsy, the wonder of a child is awesome. Great job with your haiku. Love the picture though your words create a great picture for readers, too. I like the use of different colored fonts. The satori is well thought out. I could see a young child doing just as your haiku stated.
Respectfully, Jan

You have made excellent use of your sixteen syllables in this lovely haiku. It conveys a powerful message about seeing magnificence through the eyes of a child.

The moon always fascinates me and I often look at it in wonderment, the moon is illusive and transient and magical, I enjoyed your Haiku, love Dolly x

out of sixes. A very well-crafted haiku. I love the last words "a natural." It has many layers of meaning, such as a child living natural and a natural in the talent of moongazing.

We should keep your children wild- don't make them grow up too fast. Let them be with muddy and grassy feet as they explore the wonders of nature. Your short poem amply explains it in a few words. Much enjoyed.

* Moongazing * , is short, succinct and deftly descriptive. With a minimum
of words this talented poet has told it as she sees it. I look forward to seeing your next post.

If one was gazing at it from the vantage point of the the person taking the photo we'd all be in Awe of its splendor, what a picture!
We used to see similar moons in Israel, rising over the Jordanian mountains.
Children are sponges and awesome to watch discover new things.

Yes, children know how to live. Too bad we forget when we grow older.
Thank you very much for your review and kind words, Hitcher.
