You are right. When one is younger, it seems nothing stands in the way of anything. It's only after age shows how much time really has passed. You did a great job expressing your thought and feelings about time. We should all try to live for each day and help others. Each of us has only a certain amount of time.

I read feeling from the heart in this poem.
It expresses what you stated about using time and being positive. Many people are floundering in problems. (Which is understandable.)
The last part about helping others is a marvelous suggestion.

A great thought provoking poem with vivid imagery. I always say take time to smell the roses. Many people don't appreciate the little things in life any more. They've all become much too materialistic. With our grandies the paint box I treasured as my favourite Christmas gift is not good enough for them. They want a computer, a BMX bike, a canoe...the list goes on. Yes, as we age we appreciate each and every day with friends and loved ones. Enjoy my friend. All the best Franky

I did enjoy reading this poem and felt it had a nice underlying message, it is well written I am not sure about living to 103 though if one is in good health then I suppose it may well be okay. regardless I liked it and thanks for sharing. Kooky.
