Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

Ho, Ho, Ho - this is VERY funny.
It'll not have much meaning outside of FS - and perhaps only appeal to part of this community anyway - but for those who do 'get it' this is a treat.
I was convinced is was a lottery ticket or perhaps the Pulitzer Prize, but no, it was more important than both of these...combined.
If I take he joke out of it, the piece is very well written. As I say, misdirecting but also tight, correctly punctuated, well paced and professionally presented in a limited and limiting format.

Clever, funny, and thoughtfully written; three out of three, must be a six.

Cheers Anon, I wish you well with your continued writing.

Yeah, it won't mean a thing to those who don't participate in contests or anyone outside the site but I couldn't resist. Lol. Thank you for the awesome review and the giant sixer, Phill. I really appreciate it, friend. I'm glad you liked this silliness. I hope all is well on your end and thank you again.

Ha-effing-ha!!!! What a dramatic action-packed parody of FS contestants' inabilities to follow simple instructions.
My only query is in this line:
you know that five, 5-7-5 prompt
(is the 'five' necessary?)

Wow, thank you for the catch, Lisa. My last review claimed they didn't know what I meant by five, seven, five with it spelled out. So, I went back and changed it to number to make it a little clearer for those less fortunate. Lol. Well, when I did, I guess I left the first 'five' in there. I worked all night long and I've been drinking all day since. So thank you so much for catching that goof. I sure didn't. I have it fixed now. Yeah, some of these folks just don't get it sometimes. Haha. Thank you for the great review and stars. I'm glad you had a chuckle at this silliness. Thank you again.

Fuckwits abound. I saw some entries recently to a contest and was amazed at the lack of attention to the requirements. I thought to be a writer one would know how to read. Comprehension seems to be a dying skill.

Although I enjoyed the excitement and the wondering of what Mark had seen on his phone I have no idea at the end what on earth it was all about.
I don't know what a five seven five prompt is or what a booth is, so in the end I have to say an explanation would have helped. Kooky.

A 5-7-5 is a contest this site throws almost every other day, for years, as a prompt, like haiku's or senryu's. If one doesn't like participating in the contests the site has, perhaps they wouldn't know what a 5-7-5 was. Hope that cleared it up. Thanks for the review, Kooky.

I sense a small amount of hyperbole.

An interesting story of response. The images are sharp. The language fits the subject. The dialogue is believable (at least in context). The pace is good. The tension is relieved at the end.

A good read. Thanks for sharing.

Your entry meets the criteria, Mystery Author. Your sentence structure etc. is correct. I believe it's overkill, but I'm not judging, and that's my opinion which isn't part of the rating. Overall, you did a good job.
Best wishes.
Respectfully, Jan

Hah! Nice. You've captured the intense visceral, massively influential, all encompassing excitement attached to the feeling of posting a 5-7-5 and nailing the syllable count. Hah!
I enjoyed this very much

You know, it took me a few seconds to understand what the surprise was about. I kept think five, seven, five, booth what is he...Oh. That was quite the surprise. I get it, it usually takes at least an entire day for them to move to the booth.

Funny stuff and great idea.

Yes, it's about the tardiness of contests going to booth but mainly making fun of the folks who can't seem to get a 5-7-5 correct. That's usually why we have to wait. Lol. Thank you for the great review and stars, Lancellot. I'm glad you liked this silliness.
