Smiles as I was reading your excellent story brought back a memory of the sound of trains when they were clickey, clack along on the railroad tracks; the with it's horn sounding. Then a fading a lonely feeling.

Thanks for the excellent review and your perspective on the story. The sound of trains and the sight of people at the windows of their apartments has always made me think of the lives of the people I will never meet in those places, and how we share the same time and moment sometimes. estory

I do understand. At night as I lie in bed I enjoy listening to the whistle if a distant train. It's as if all is right withe the world. Thank you for sharing. I enjoyed reading. This is well written.

This diary entry, Chapter 17, captures the world coming together in sight and sound into one shared cell of reality which everyone takes a piece. Nice.

No one can ever say you don't think of others. These observations make it quite apparent that you often think about the people you share life with, even ones you don't know and you have a fleeting connection with them, such as those who pass by on a train. Well written.

Interesting bit of thinking. I think about these things too. Everyone has unique lives with their own story which we won't ever know. They are ships that pass in the night as the old adage goes. There is so much to know about the people around us, but we're not likely to find out.
