A fine letter to ask fo help for your country as you see things going badly and help is required here, although humans are responsible for all these bad things and humans will eventually realise they voted in the wrong man! Love Dolly x

I pray this prayer with you, dear friend. Beautifully expressed from a beautiful spirit, your letter was filled with grace of heart toward mankind while pleading for God's mercy and help as we are a country divided and are in the midst of turmoil and trouble of our own doing.

Your 3rd paragraph was outstanding, telling of the crisis we are in.

I liked how you wrote of our nation taking God from the picture, and though you ask Him to be merciful, you acknowledge that He could be testing us, leaving us to our own demise, or worse we receive His wrath. Each one is a possibility, for so it was in the days of old according to the Bible.

I am in total agreement with all you have asked, so a big AMEN. Your letter read like a conversation with God, and I loved that. That's how I talk to God, too.

An excellent contest entry; the perfect prayer for these times.

I can't tell you what your response means to me. I didn't expect it, as so many on FS don't agree with me on many things.
I am worried sick over what's happening; the decisions made that the people have no say in. What do you think our wounded think, who see Biden wanting to give $450,000 each, to illegal aliens?
You think things can't get worse, then they do. So many unconscionable things.

I have the exact same worries and concerns as you and many others I know. Don't feel alone. I'm praying with you, and God will hear our prayers.
    Love and hugs,

We, as a people, as a culture, are so in need of help to help us get back in touch with the Earth and all its elements. I hope the powers that be listen and send help.

Mia, your comment has much merit, however I believe we, as Americans, need to remember what we stand for which is not socialism and gov't control.

There are millions of Americans who feel just as you do. They are being censored by the media who seem to show only the evil side of life. There are churches in every city all across this wonderful nation. I think God is still in control....hopefully. Thanks for this prayer...

Well done on your entry. It's heartfelt and sincere. I share your desire to see this country return to our roots. People who have no right to run this country are in control now. They are selfish, arrogant and lacking in self-control, desiring to stay in power no matter the cost to themselves or others. I know that God establishes those in power and it may be to punish us for our sins. I only hope we wake up and repent soon. Thanks for sharing this.
Have a blessed evening.
Tom

    thanks, Tom.
I differ from you in this respect. I don't believe God establishes those in power - am assuming you mean "has a hand in putting them there". But, I wonder, too, if He's punishing us. I guess the good must suffer with the bad. The only thing is, it seems to me that generally, the good do most of the suffering. The bad seem to skate merrily along, unscathed.
But I am most sincere in my prayer.
Thanks for reading it and for your comments.

Hi- I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't mistaken, so I checked on Google. It pointed to Romans 13:1
It might be worth checking out, but you're right, the good seem to suffer the most. I guess it's for a good reason, I'm just not sure what that reason is. Blessings
