This chapter makes a good bridge from the chapter before to the next chapter but, as nothing happens I would have added it to one of the fore mentioned chapters.

Thanks for your suggestions. I try to limit the word count because so many don't like to follow if the story is long.

I couldn't even imagine drinking an espresso, and to be honest, I must doctor even my American coffee. LOL Now the pastries I could handle, especially since I owned a catering business for 15 years.

Very good. This seemed to be a chill chapter, a little breather and time for the characters and the readers to a more friendly and family side to the gang. We also got some background on the sheriff over lunch, in a casual way.

I've starved all week trying to be a good boy and drop a few of these excess pounds, and I've done well, losing five pounds. Now, the smell of chocolate chip cookies and their gooey goodness are about to overwhelm my senses and willpower. LOL. Have a nice weekend!

LOL When we had the catering business, we baked all our own loaves of bread and pastries. The smell of the chocolate chip cookies were too much to ignore. I always had to make an extra dozen, or the employees ate them before we sent them out the door.
