I will keep reading your suspense story......you are such a wonderful writer. One thing about writing, it is proof or shows what you believe in...detective Sally. A wonderful, suspenseful story.

Comment from Gloria ....
Well here I am, better late than never, at least that's what I am told.
Another fine chapter with Thanksgiving and traditional food which is always a plus for me. Even if it happens to be the cold dinner Eugene woke to in his hospital bed.
Good thing for King, and Detective Sally Law. :))
Many thanks for sharing.

wow...what an ending! I did not see it coming.
I especially enjoyed your Thanksgiving section. What a great way to get so many significant characters all together in one place. When I was working in prison ministry, I helped serve Thanksgiving meals many times. Your story brought back some good memories, Sally. Happy Thanksgiving in advance! xo Janet

Hi Sally,
Another terrific chapter!
Thanksgiving... 4 different ways to spend it.
Looks like Tony will escape with the help of Spencer Whitehead. I see them vanishing in the Bermuda Triangle, or (at least) Tony being pushed off Spencer's yacht (if indeed he has a yacht matching his appearance).
Tony is more of a snake than a tiger. Tony the Taipan.
Then, there's Jackson and Sally the Sleuth, sitting down with the press... cameras down, please! A huge celebration in the hospital's atrium, complete with a few hungry and homeless guests.
Ken and Analiese are thankful for the moment, at least. But I'm still thinking that she will get some time in prison.
And then the highlight of the chapter... the Grim Reaper, waiting by Izard's bedside. Eugene's time on earth is just about over. And he knows it. His goose is cooked. I remember when the coach came for Darby O'Gill.

"I'm your eternal ride...."
"Ride? Oh no, not me! Hey man, I was going to write it all down for the detective, I swear! I was even going to find Camille and send her money. Money's not--not a problem."
"Your time's up!" ... nice to see some supernatural in your story. Justice is served instead of cold roast turkey dinner.
I'm interested to find out what happens to Tony Alfanzi and Analiese. And also Camille.
Nicely penned, as usual!
Hugs,
Kimbob

Oh, my! I think that might be the first time the Grim Reaper (or, the Angel of Death) has come calling for one of your characters, but it was mentioned, in the last chapter, that Izard may not have much longer.
A few suggested revisions:
Jackson helped me in to my outfit and styled my hair.
-->
Jackson helped me into my outfit and styled my hair.
All of sudden I felt a bracelet draped around my wrist ...
-->
All of a sudden, I felt a bracelet draped around my wrist, ...
and toddler, Danny, kept me entertained.

This was quite a lively chapter, and quite eventful. I like your illustration. You also have a relatively long cast of characters, for a novella; however, the novella keeps growing longer than I expected -- not that I'm complaining, at all.

Outstanding writing as always keeps me tuned in and trying to keep up. You force me to stay tentative in chapters like this that skip around a lot, a wake up call to lazy half asleep readers. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

It would seem Tony the Tiger is still calling the shots. No doubt the 'eternal ride' guy works for him. I hope his latest escape plan blows up big time.

Wow, thanks for checking out my book. It's very involved with many characters. I've written myself into all my blind girl books as I am blind in real life. This is the fourth one. I hope you can catch up. ;))
Sending you my very best today as always,

Now the reader is wondering what the mystery is all about. You have grabbed the reader's attention. I've never heard this expression: " Federal Bureau of Incompetence" I like your use of alliteration. The w's create the tone of sadness, inner howling, and moaning: "waiting, watching, and wondering " This is a good topic. We need to appreciate our loved ones before something bad happens: "Since that time, my husband has been different, in a good way." This will make the reader nervous: "Yes, and it's time for a pre-dinner walk." The last part will definitely get the reader back here.

Great job giving us four very different Thanksgiving scenes. There's Izard on his last earthly day - wished he gave the information first! There's the villain making his escape, and then there's a romantic one. But my favorite is the happy gathering that opened their festivities to the homeless!
