Excellent. One of my favorite movies too. With that memorable line "You can't handle he truth!" Like the line "What we have here is a failure to communicate." I think all actors wish for lines like these. Also interesting that you could do this in 3 lines.

Good entry for the Haiku Movie Review writing prompt contest.
Your poem is a modern haiku, classic haiku is about nature. I would add 'modern haiku' to your subtitle.
Correct number of syllables.
The connection between lines can be improved and you need a dash at end of second line.
Great presentation with an appropriate picture.
Good luck in the contest.

I remember this movie- You can't handle the truth! I can't say it was one of my favorites, but to each his own. I'm watching The Winds of War right now- six dvd's long. Not much has changed though in the military. There is a hierarchy as well as a bunch of pomp and circumstance. Plus the natural desire to escape any blame. Kind of like General Milley recently. I well remember the difference between the officers and us enlisted men when I was in the navy. We had to address the officers as Mister so and so. I started addressing my fellow enlisted radar men as Mister so and so also. I felt like we all deserved respect, regardless of rank. Good luck in the contest.

That was such a good scene from the film, with Jack Nicholson playing the tough marine colonel against a young Lieutenant in Tom Cruise playing the defence lawyer, beautifully written, good luck, blessings Roy

I think this is an excellent Haiku for promoting the movie. The way I read the prompt was to act as if you were a movie critic. I am thinking it should be pro or con on the movie. You choose a great movie, excellent cast, and I am just giving you my opinion. Good luck with the entry.
