A Tornado Is Coming

Hi Pookietoo,
This is short prose mostly on the Christensen family and their children. The story has little to do with a twister except in that it is forecast to come in a few days (?) I've never heard of a weatherman make a forecast that far out on a twister, perhaps in a few hours maybe?
Your prose is mostly concerned with what the children value the most and what they would want to save from this destructive storm. Each child, the boys and girls saved their treasured items in a crate to be ferreted away to some unknown hiding place of safety, hopefully a cellar. What items which were deemed favorites spoke
to the lives of each child, the girls being dolls and the guys sports trophies etc.
This good story was a salt-of-the-earth approach to the virtues of the family unit. Your sweet story peeked inside the glue that holds a family together such as church, sports, school, family fun and outings but mostly just loving and supporting each other.
All American as apple pie, Pookietoo :))
Always,

I have been through Topeka just after suffering a twist, and I am to say it is not a pretty sight. Many people lost their lives, not counting all of their materialist things. You have earned my voter.

It must be terrifying to live in areas where tornadoes rule, even if it is occasionally, the destruction means everything is lost, I enjoyed your endearing story about this family, love Dolly x

This is an interesting story and contest entry. I wish you good luck.
notes:
The weatherman said there would be a tornado approaching in the next [few days] and to prepare for it.
-That's too unbelievable. I suggest changing it to hours away.
