This is a lovely Autumn Cascade poem Joan, and I love the rainbow leaves description. You really give us a sense of the change in temperature with the spicy cocoa in front of the fire, sounds delightful. Nicely told,
cheers,

I really admire the way you tackle these poetic forms, Joan. Excellent topical theme. So true that the end of the year is fast approaching. And that makes me want to appreciate every day of autumn.
Thanks for sharing

I like how you painted the autumn season with your lovely cascade poem, Joan! I especially liked the "rainbow leaves" and how you sparked all our senses of sight (colors), feeling (temperatures), hearing (birds' serenades), smell (allspice, sage) and taste (cocoa)!!
To the ground crops cow-tow (kowtow)

This poetic form is becoming familiar now. Sometimes the club entries are great fun. This one is.
A good subject for this style. The lines cascading adds to the feel of leaves falling. The pace is good. The images are strong. The flow is pleasant. The tone is conversational and warm.
Thanks for sharing. A good read.

What a beautiful form and of course, subject matter. I have no Autumn folage here to boast. It is stored in my memory. I must travel to see it or view it in old photos.
Sending you my best today as always and best regards for the writing challenge,
