Of course, after the harvest, the anticipation of the coming preparations, the planting and the sheer joy of the work of one's hands, and sitting back and watching the new harvest God brings must be most satisfying. Beautifully written, an excellent post, well done, blessings Roy

A good time to drive down to the local market. Drive past the harvested fields and seek out the pick of the crop, mingle with the masses and enjoy the hustle and bustle of life ; )) Nice Haiku !

Fall is here and we can tell it by the wheat that's been sowed, the corn stalks decorating for fall and Halloween, and of course, the pumpkin that gives us jack-o-lanterns and pumpkin pie. All we need now is to go over the river to granma's house and we've got it all. God bless!

I miss the commas... (yes I googled what "wheat corn" was...)
Basho, haiku master said "First learn the rules, then break them."
That aside, a vivid word painting of the fields after harvest!

Thank you for telling me about Basho.I put a comma after wheat. It wanted to since it was looking odd.So I decided to break the rules..

' Wheat corn and pumpkin ', is short, succinct and delightfully descriptive. Woven through each line are the golden threads of truth. I look forward to seeing your next post.

Fine tone in this poem...sounds Indian (eastern) or of that area. I can just see the produce waiting for consumption, while the empty fields show where everything is providing a happy blessing.

It is that time again. I cannot believe that it arrived so swiftly. It seems that Summer was just yesterday. Soon will come Halloween, Thanksgiving and then Christmas and the new year. I am bracing myself for the endless commercials urging unending spending on things no one needs but nearly everyone wants, or feels that they must have.

This fits the theme of autumn harvest well with the three crops of wheat, corn, and pumpkins. (I prefer the commas but I know in haiku, punctuation is discouraged.) So after the harvest celebrations, the fields are empty of workers and and plants so I guess they are awaiting planting season. Enjoyed your autumn haiku!

This is a well constructed Haiku with a good satori that predicts the impending winter, which is not always a bad thing. We enjoy skiing so it is a good thing for the skiers.
I also like the choice of the art work.
Well done.
