I like this poem. As I read down the page, line after line of wonderful things, there is still the mind-hook from the initial two lines that colors everything else and triggers a bit of melancholia. Wonderful poem.

I love this one too...SO many things to miss.
Music, I'll miss music, books and libraries.
Red galoshes and umbrellas...I'll miss oatmeal-raisin cookies.

You've pointed out of lot of good things still around. Maybe we not ready to give it all up just yet. Things could get so bad before that final curtain that we wouldn't be able to conger up any good memories. If things are a wonderful in the next life as we've been led to believe, we likely won't be longing for what we've left behind. I enjoyed reading this.

While we're here, though, I thought of all the wonderful moments here I guess I will miss. I wanted to capture that sense in this piece. estory

A nice list poem. Makes me want to list a few more things, both of nature and man made.
The poem has a good pace. The words flow well. The list ends without really ending. The poem stays on point.
Suggestion:
My only suggestion is to use a ellipsis at the end of the poem to further suggest that the list continues.

Nicely done. There is one thing that will remain. "The stars glittering in the far off Milky Way" will still be there, though there will probably be no one on Earth to see them.
