I apologize for my tardiness for getting to this chapter. I was spiffing up my chapter 51. I cannot believe I've written that many chapters.
Now your story
***
This is an interesting subplot: "Even so, after meeting with his fancy pants, highly overpayed lawyer, he was seriously considering it." always something you can spin back to. This very cleverly introduced. Ooooo so clever, Sally. I like your approach. "That's it! All I need is a power outage and I'm home free. I'll be on my sailboat headed for Barbados!" This isa great sensory image: "A queasy feeling washed over him as a hunk of cold metal pressed his cheek. "Drop it, Izard, slow and easy...."

Now I'm going to read the rest of your story.

So, here's another interesting chapter. Alfanzi has thoughts of escape because a thunderstorm might cause a power outage in the prison's electrified fence. That makes me wonder whether the power to the fence has a backup generator that might come on while he is still in contact during an escape attempt.... I like that Ken has renewed contact with Ana, and that they may have a future together after Alfanzi's trial. Meanwhile, it seems Miles was right about Eugene's likely escape route, and Detective Lembowsky arrived just in time to thwart him. Eugene's own injury then assured his capture, which likely saved him from passing out alone in the swamp and being eaten.

As usual, the situations are plausible, the dialog is realistic (and sometimes amusing), and the details make the reader feel present in the action. Superb, and aptly illustrated.

Thank you for the lovely review and generous compliments. The shiny stars are so pleasing. My week has gone south and waves of bad news have hit me from my sister, Suzy. Her husband is clinging to life. I hope to post Sunday, but I?m behind in my book writing. My mind is elsewhere.

The story is always suspenseful. It is always a good thing to reread some of the parts as there is so much going on....I cannot wait until they find the paintings that were stolen; refresh my thoughts, they were stolen right?

Another interesting and exciting chapter. A possible prison assassination attempt, possible jailbreak, romance, (even a touch of humour with the elegant hospital garb)... all the elements are there, and all are left hanging, waiting for the next chapter. Well done.

So Izzard is actually sick, even assassins fall under natural justice, and even master criminals have only so much time according to the grace of God, we all live under that regime by the glory of God. A wonderful post Sally, your wrotkng is great, well done, blessings Roy

I'm happy to see they caught the assassin before he killed another officer, Sally. This is another intriguing chapter. Well done.

I really like this story. It appears the good guys are going win and there might even be a romance starting.

Analiese was out the door and sitting curled up in the chair before she answered.

"Ken... is it really you?" (comma needed after 'answered' and the dialogue moved closer)

And, Thank you. ('thank you' could use a lower case 't')

And the suspense builds with the storm, fever and septic and life in general going astray. You have kept the reader on the edge of their seats wondering what will come next. Great job!

Always, Carol
